Established Kayak Retailer Expands to Florida

Introducing Waterways Englewood, Florida’s newest kayak shop dedicated to providing knowledgeable service and quality paddlesports products to the local community. 

Englewood FL, May 5th, 2022 – Waterways, a paddlesports shop which originated in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina, is heading to the “Sunshine State” with the opening of a showroom in Englewood, Florida.   

The 2,000 square foot retail shop will feature kayaks and accessories designed for fishing and recreational use by Feelfree Kayaks, Seastream Kayaks, 3 Waters Kayaks and Jonny Boats. In addition to paddlesports gear, the retail shop will offer general outdoor recreational equipment such as waterproof dry bags, coolers and outdoor apparel. 

The showroom will also be used as a local hub for hosting seminars, guest speakers and special events focusing on regional recreational and fishing communities. Kayak rentals will be offered in the near future as well.  

This specific location was chosen to complement area residents’ passion for the outdoors along with its proximity to the ocean. 

"The concept for Waterways Englewood originated as a response to the massive uptick in interest concerning paddlesports on a national scale. The new location will allow us to better serve the growing paddlesports community as well as other dealers in Florida that support the same brands," said Sam Hager, the store manager. “The fun part about this whole thing is that people are excited for us to be a part of the reinvigoration of Dearborn Street. We just couldn’t be happier with how everything has fallen into place.” 

Additionally, the location was strategically selected to support the brands and fellow Florida dealers. The store will double as a regional distribution center in partnership with Feelfree US, LLC for statewide dealers of Feelfree Kayaks, 3 Waters Kayaks, Seastream Kayaks and Jonny Boats. With shipping fees at an all-time high, this distribution strategy is designed to mitigate costs and reduce the amount of time it takes dealers to obtain products. 

The Florida store is slated to officially open on May 7th of 2022 with a grand opening celebration.
