Waterways USA, a kayak shop in Austin, is looking for an energetic customer service-oriented part-time store associate to assist our store manager with daily operations. The position will be primarily focused on assisting customers with the purchase of kayaks and accessories which will include everything from educating the customer to processing sales. It is important that the person applying for this job is comfortable working alone while juggling multiple customers. In addition, we are seeking a highly dependable and extremely punctual individual as they will be opening and closing the store on their assigned workdays. Some kayaking and/or fishing experience is a major plus but not necessary. This position has the potential to grow into an assistant manager role. Our plan for 2024 is to start delivering boats to the greater Austin area, along with surrounding areas. Our store manager will handle the deliveries and we’ll need a reliable individual to maintain the level of service we expect from our retail locations.
The Austin store offers sales, rentals, and installation. In addition to kayaks, kayak and kayak fishing accessories, adventure gear such as coolers, apparel and waterproof dry bags are offered. The store also serves as a distribution center for independent regional dealers selling the same brands.
